Surroundings
Mals is located in the upper Vinschgau Valley and is nestled between the highest mountains of the Eastern Alps: the Ötztal Alps in the east, the Sesvenna Group in the west and the Ortler Group in the south. Mals lies at an altitude of approx. 1000-1100m on a south-facing slope and is therefore considered the sunniest place in South Tyrol. The village of the seven towers in the border triangle offers itself by the natural landscape as an ideal holiday place. A number of well-preserved monuments bear witness to the rich history of Mals.
